How to Fasten the MEMEENO Band


The MEMEENO baby belly band is not a medical device. It is a baby accessory intended to warm and protect the belly to help soothe your baby. The band is not intended for use on babies with any underlying medical conditions (i.e. GERD, reflux, hernia, etc.). Results may vary as no one product can guarantee a complete solution to a baby’s fussiness, gas and colic. All babies react differently to various soothing methods and where one product may work for one baby, it may have no such effect on another. It often takes a little trial and error to find the right safe solution or combination of methods to help soothe a baby with colic or gas.

  • Spread band on bed, lay baby on top and fasten in front. Fasten the band snug but NOT too tight. There should be space for one or two fingers to easily slip underneath. See our online video to demonstrate how to wear the band.
  • Keep on until your baby finds relief and then feel free to remove the band.
  • If the touch fastener is exposed on a side, slide the band so that it is towards the baby's back.
  • Place the band ONLY underneath the arms and around the belly area so that it stays secure, otherwise it could pose a strangulation and suffocation hazard.
  • Wait about 20 minutes after feeding and after thoroughly burping before fastening the band.
  • DO NOT use with restraints such as car seats, strollers, or swings, etc.
  • DO NOT use if your baby is sick, has a cough, fever or has any other underlying medical conditions. 
  • If baby spits up, cries repeatedly while wearing the band, baby may be uncomfortable, discontinue use.
  • While sleeping, it should be worn UNDERNEATH light fabric pajamas/onesie or sleep sacks. Avoid dressing your baby in thick, warming (i.e. fleece) garments or sacks to prevent overheating. Keep room at a cool temperature. Always be sure to follow safe sleeping practices
  • Use during the day and monitor your baby while wearing the band.
  • This product is designed to be used with the AAP sleep practices


  • Place your baby on his back to sleep.
  • Let your baby sleep in a crib in your room for six months to one year.
  • Use a flat & firm sleep mattress. Don’t let the bedding come lose.
  • Keep your baby’s crib empty. No stuffed animals, bumpers, small or large pillows.
  • Pacifiers help at nap time and bedtime to reduce the risk of SIDS.
  • Don’t co-sleep. Your baby is at a much higher risk of SIDS, suffocation, or strangulation
  • Don’t allow your baby to become overheated. Signs of being too hot include sweating or feels hot to the touch.
  • Keep the room cool.
  • Dress your baby in no more than one extra layer.
  • Don’t keep any cords or electronic devices within your baby’s reach.
  • Don't smoke or expose your baby to smoke.
  • Caregivers are responsible for a baby’s safety.
